EUREKA

Eureka is one of the state's best preserved 19th-century towns. Many of its stone and brick structures date from about 1880.

The Eureka County Historical Society can provide you with a map of a self-guided walking tour of the town's quaint buildings and streets. The Eureka Sentinel Museum still has the newspaper's original printing presses in place.

The old Opera House has been restored as a visitors, cultural, and convention center with permanent art collections.
