CALIENTE

Originally named Calientes, it was named for the hot springs in the area. Natural mineral baths are available year round. Caliente is a full service community offering food, gas, lodging, shopping, parks and events. It was also where the famed "Robber's Roost" hideout for outlaws like Butch Cassidy, is located.

Beaver Dam State Park is approximately 32 miles east of Caliente, 27 of those miles on a graded gravel road.

Kershaw-Ryan State Park is located in a narrow canyon two miles south of Caliente, Nevada.

Monument placed when Kershaw-Ryan State Park was dedicated, in 1935.
